Helluva Band imagines how a once-famous author comes upon the story of a lifetime and turns it into a best-seller - with just a little help from her friends. Any baby boomer or lover of oldies music and movies can spend a few enjoyable hours thinking about what if his or her favorite musician, actress or comedian had escaped the intractable pull of liquor, drugs and stress and continued to make use of the talent that led to fame, notoriety, and disaster.
